Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift is an American country singer and songwriter. The songs of Taylor Swift focus on the pain of young girls. Swift showed an interest in music from a young stage and progressed swiftly through roles in the children's theater until her first performance before a crowd of thousands. She was age 11 when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball match and in the next year, she took up guitar and began to write songs. Swift got the inspiration to compose her own songs by artists from the country genre, such as Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. Swift left Pennsylvania with her parents to Hendersonville, Tennessee when she reached 13 and decided to spend more time to reaching out to country labels.
