Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in the US. She is best known for her part as Skyler White on the AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She has also played Jean Ward in The Practice, and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in love with acting in Preparatory before her Family moved to Ohio. She studied theatre through Northwestern University and spent a period in the British American Drama Academy. Anna started out in Chicago and worked in theater roles for many years. Then she moved to Hollywood, where she began her acting career in TV shows and films. In 1992 Anna landed her first big part as Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. In addition, she played in Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. Then it wasn't until the late 1990s that she took on an acting role on The Practice. In 2000, she was cast in Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. She also starred as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully in addition to Deadwood was another film she was a part of. Gunn played in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production directed by David Schwimmer. The actress starred as Numbered Days, which is a four-part audio series that was released set in 2022. The love story with Walter White and his wife Skyler is usually the main focus of the narrative in Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and the eventual end of their relationship echoing the same storyline of Walter White's final years of life.
